Chelsea takeover: 200 investors register interest in buying club.

With the deadline for bid proposals nearing on Friday, it's reported that more than 200 investors are considering making a bid to buy Chelsea from Roman Abramovich. 

Abramovich has given the UK government permission to proceed with the sale after admitting that he will not get any compensation, and the sale's organizers have invited potential purchasers to submit ideas by Friday. 

Investors have been requested to articulate their long-term plan for the club in addition to demonstrating the source of their funds. Some have mentioned Stamford Bridge redevelopments, and 90min knows that buyers and centre-back Antonio Rudiger have spoken about a possible contract extension. 

There are a few purchasers who are willing to pay a premium.
