Juventus would have to sell key player to afford Rudiger freebie
Calciomercato reports that Tony Damascelli has delivered some terrible news (for Juventus fans). He claims that the Old Lady can only afford Rudiger's huge wage demands if they sell a player, using center defender Matthijs de Ligt as an example.
We can see Juve's appeal - sell your center back for a high price and get a free replacement – but it rests entirely on finding someone willing to pay a high price for de Ligt.
And why would any top team do that when they can simply sign Rudiger on the cheap? It's all a bit perplexing.
